Yngvar P. Berg

Drammen Slip & Verksted, founded in 1925 by Yngvar P. Berg, developed to be one of the leading Norwegian Shipbuilding Yards.
Since the start, the Yard has delivered 101 newbuildings, the most renowned being the long series of fast going Refrigerated Vessels, the Drammen Clipper Class, developed by the Yard and of which a total of 43 vessels were built, 31 vessels at the Yard in Drammen.
The subsidiary company, Drammen Skipsreparasjon A/S was founded in 1972 to tend to marine repairs and maintenance.
Being a family-owned company, the third generation of Yngvar P. Berg are now active in the company.
Since 1986, all shipyard activities have been shifted towards Drammen Skipsreparasjon AS, renamed Drammen Yard AS in 2008.
