Restoration of old steamers and historically interesting ships

In addition of being in the front of making use of the latest in ship building technology and management systems, Drammen Yard keeps alive the old trades in shipbuilding in conserving and preserving historically interesting ships according to the stringiest antiquarian standards of the Norwegian Directorate of Cultural Heritage (the Custodian General).

Numerous are the rivets the yard's experienced rivet setters have renewed in old ladies as S/S "Skibladner", the world's oldest paddle steamer in service, S/S "Børøysund", S/S "Styrbjörn", T/S "Christian Radich" and HMY "Norge" to mention a few.
